Alana RobertDirector
Alana Robert is a member of the Manitoba Métis Federation. She grew up in Winnipeg – the heart of the Métis Nation Homeland. Alana is a lawyer, employed as a Litigation Associate at McCarthy Tétrault in Toronto.
Alana’s advocacy focuses on combating gender-based violence and the violence fueling the missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls crisis. Alana has written reports for national women’s organizations on strategies to address violence across multiple sectors.
She has won the Indspire Métis Youth Award and the Governor General’s Award in Commemoration of the Person’s Case for her work in this area. She is currently learning Michif.
