Native Women’s Resource Centre of Toronto 40th Anniversary Celebration:

On Tuesday, June 3, the Native Women’s Resource Centre of Toronto (NWRCT) proudly celebrated its 40th Anniversary at McCarthy Tétrault in Toronto. The evening brought together community members, partners, and supporters to honour four decades of dedication to uplifting and supporting Indigenous women and families.

The formal celebration featured a special acknowledgment ceremony, drumming, dancing, and a client recognition segment honouring past Minaake Award recipients. Guests enjoyed a three-course dinner prepared by Nookomis Kitchen, a silent auction, live music by Graeme, a 360-photo booth, and exciting giveaways.

It was a memorable night of culture, community, and celebration, recognizing 40 years of service and commitment to Indigenous women in Toronto.
