The Aboriginal Healthy Babies Healthy Children (AHBHC) Program can help you prepare for your baby, learn to take care of your child, and find ongoing support in your community.

The AHBHC program includes:

  • Self-esteem and positive parenting workshops
  • Outings
  • Access to the community kitchen where you can learn to cook nutritious meals on a budget or while accessing the food bank
  • Sharing circles with other mothers and caregivers on how to raise a happy and healthy family
  • Beyond the Basics parenting workshops
  • Monthly pre/postnatal sharing circles

Childcare is available during programming hours.

If you need parenting help…

The Pimaatisiwin (A Good Way of Life) Parenting Program provides parenting classes, family resources, and cultural activities for young families. This program has a focus on the healthy development of children aged 0-6 years old.

The Pimaatisiwin Parenting Program includes:

  • Parenting skills workshops
  • Outings
  • Solstice activities
  • Children’s programming
  • Access to the community kitchen where you can learn to cook nutritious meals on a budget or while accessing the food bank
  • Parenting support from our trained facilitators
  • Health and Fitness programs

Our parenting programs help Aboriginal families who care for children aged 0-6 years old.

If you have female children between the ages of 12 and 24, they may be interested in attending our Youth programs.
