Diabetes Program

Diabetes is one of the highest percentage of illness among indigenous peoples in Canada. We
are providing clients with the resources to help them prevent, education or maintain diabetes
through nutrition workshops, demos, discussions and fitness exercises.

Come brush up on your computer skills in a tutoring session with our lovely long term tutor, Moira. These sessions are by appointment only, so make sure to contact the Nbaakaawin Kwe Education Centre if you’re interested.

If you need a Birth Certificates, Birth Registration, Verification of Status (Record of Landing), and Ontario Health Card this clinic is for you! Tokens will be provided, and all expenses paid for obtaining your identification. Please be advised to bring a Canadian Birth Certificate and/or health card with you. If you do not have any identification, a brief application will be required, which you would have to provide full name, date of birth, place of birth, parents name, etc.

Dinner will be served at 5:00pm. Tokens will be provided. Please keep in mind that this class is filling up fast, so missing the first class or more than 3 classes throughout this twelve-week semester may mean your spot is given to someone else on the waiting list.
