    Drop-In (Personal Needs Support Program)  is accessible two days/week Tuesdays 10am-12:15pm and Thursdays 1:30pm-3:45pm on a first come first serve basis – Limited to one visit per client per week.

    Available services:

    – clothing bank
    – toiletries
    – showers Available on Thursdays
    – free laundry services (one load/week) Available on Tuesdays

     

    *Please note: Drop-In closes between 12:30 – 1:30 pm for lunch hour.

    Native Women’s Academy : Writing Essentials

    This class runs every Thursday in April from 3:30pm-5:00pm (dinner served after class)

     

    Writing Essentials is a 12-week course offered through Native Women’s Academy: School of Life Skills. This free school program is designed to prepare you for school, greater independence, and employment. This program welcomes Indigenous (First Nations – status or non-status, Inuit, Metis) self-identifying women who are interested in improving their writing skills. We will review topics like: how to write a proper sentence, paragraph and essay. Dinner and tokens are provided and childcare is available upon request.  There will be a graduation feast and certificates upon completion J

    Intermediate Anishinaabemowin Language and Cultural Teachings

    Language Keeper John Roy, is offering two language class weekly at Native Women’s Resource Centre: Beginner and Intermediate.

     

    Anishnaabemowin Language and Cultural Teachings a 12-week course offered through Native Women’s Academy: School of Life Skills. This free school program is designed to prepare you for school, greater independence, and employment. This program welcomes Indigenous (First Nations – status or non-status, Inuit, Metis) self-identifying women who are interested in sharing and growing their Anishinabeemowin language and cultural knowledge. Dinner and tokens are provided and childcare is available upon request.  There will be a graduation feast and certificates upon completion J
