    Starting  January 28th, this class runs every Monday (Except Feb 18, 2019)

    The Nbaakaawin Kwe (Wisdom Woman) Education Centre is offering a new computer lab. Participants can pick from a number of online classes, including: G1 Drivers Test Prep, Money Matters, Customer Service, Mindfulness, and much more! You can work independently on your course or with tutor support.  This series welcomes Indigenous (First Nations – status or non-status, Inuit, Metis) self-identifying women who are interested in learning Anishinaabemowin.

    Ozhige Workshop

    The 10-day Ozhige Workshop (She who builds a dwelling) is an in-depth workshop that will cover topics from learning how to search for market rentals to understanding tenant/landlord rights and responsibilities. There will be an arts and crafts component as well; clients will be able to make a dreamcatcher to display in their homes. Participants will end the 10-day workshop by learning how to Spiritually Cleanse their spaces. This workshop will run for two half days a week from Monday, February 25 – Wednesday, March 27. Spaces are limited!

    Introduction to Computers (Part II)

    Are you interested in improving your computer skills? Join us for this 6-week computer lab series! This group is best for those with some familiarity with computer.  Learn how to send emails, search the internet, save documents, type like a professional, and much more! This series welcomes Indigenous (First Nations – status or non-status, Inuit, Metis) self-identifying women.

    Songwriting Toolkit

    Songwriting Toolkit free workshop for all levels rooted in self-expression, experimentation and bridging cross-cultural influences.

    Participants will explore different creative songwriting exercises and technology. Closing with a group percussion-jam featuring indigenous Filipino Kulintang gongs facilitated by members of Pantayo an all women Kulintang collective. This series welcomes Indigenous (First Nations – status or non-status, Inuit, Metis) self-identifying women.

    Dinner is at 5:30 p.m. Drumming starts at 6 p.m. and runs till 8 p.m. Open to all self-identifying women and two spirit (Indigenous and non-Indigenous). No experience needed. Tokens provided.

    Seeking Safety: A 12 week PTSD and substance abuse support group. This program aims to provide a safe space and to learn spiritual healing practises based on the medicine wheel, along with Indigenous teachings, and coping skills.
