Nbaakaawin Kwe Education Centre offers one-on-one tutoring to Indigenous (First Nations – status or non-status, Inuit, Metis) self-identifying women. Learners ages sixteen and older, are paired with a tutor to improve on subjects such as: math, English, computer skills, and life skills. This is wonderful opportunity for those interested in returning to school, increasing their independence, or gaining job readiness skills. One-on-one tutoring appointments are available throughout the week depending on tutor availability.

Ozhige Workshop
The 10-day Ozhige Workshop (She who builds a dwelling) is an in-depth workshop that will cover topics from learning how to search for market rentals to understanding tenant/landlord rights and responsibilities. There will be an arts and crafts component as well; clients will be able to make a dreamcatcher to display in their homes. Participants will end the 10-day workshop by learning how to Spiritually Cleanse their spaces. This workshop will run for two half days a week from Monday, February 25 – Wednesday, March 27. Spaces are limited!

Songwriting Tollkit
Songwriting Toolkit free workshop for all levels rooted in self-expression, experimentation and bridging cross-cultural influences.
Participants will explore different creative songwriting exercises and technology. Closing with a group percussion-jam featuring indigenous Filipino Kulintang gongs facilitated by members of Pantayo an all women Kulintang collective.
